Merson were contracted to carry out a large-scale rebrand of the signage package across the South West Trains rail network. Signage involved in the rebrand included:
- Totem headers
- Fabricated letters
- Station nameplates
- A wide range of wayfinding signage
- Refurbishment of ticket office signage and other station facilities
Gateline signage was also installed. These signs are designed to stop children and luggage getting caught in the gateline. The purchase order for this package came following a successful trial at Winchester station.
This project also included a large amount of signage installed in the red zone. This means installation was required during night shifts as the signage was required too close to the railways to install during normal operating hours. Merson's install work often takes place during night shifts for access, timescale, health and safety reasons.
